2.6(a) Telephone interviews
Is it suitable for you to conduct a telephone interview? That will depend on the position you are trying to fill and the organisation policy.
You will still need to plan for this and make suitable arrangements with your panel and your candidate. Again, privacy needs to be ensured for all parties.
You cannot see the candidate during the interview so you will need to consider the tone of voice and clarity of expression when you ask questions of the candidate. You should also listen carefully to the responses you are being given by the candidate.
