Questions you must not ask

As discussed earlier, if something is not directly relevant to the job, you should not ask it or you may be in for a lawsuit.
Examples: ‘Are you married?’ or ‘Do you have children?’ These are irrelevant. If the reason for asking is because there are late shifts or long hours required, ask about that directly. For example, ‘Are you able to work night shifts?’ or ‘There is often overtime required. Would that be a problem for you? '
