Creating engagement
Think about what you might need to do to ensure that your students are engaging with your social media sites? Which sites will you post to? What activities will you be asking your learners to engage in on your social media sites e.g. a Twitter conversation following a class or special event? What else will you post, e.g. links to current affairs, course/assessment information, photos, information about events etc.? How often will you post? It is a good idea to think about these questions and develop a plan for how you will engage and manage your social media sites. See the "Use of Social Media for Teaching and Learning" section for ideas about how to create activities using social media.
