This topic should provide you with the ability to:
Share information on safe work practices with members of the work group
Check the OHS practices of less experienced members and provide guidance and coaching to less experienced members
Support members of the workgroup to accurately record incidents and complete associated workplace documentation
Topic 2: Follow the organisation’s policies and practices
This topic is focused on ensuring that you, as a worker in the CSI, can identify your roles and responsibilities within an organisation, work within an organisation’s policies and procedures and contribute to the ongoing development and review of policy and procedures. We will look at some of the key areas of policy and procedures, such as:
seeking agreement with the client, where possible, prior to providing service; and
how we apply policy and procedures in the workplace to make decisions when we are unsure of how to proceed.
There are four (4) activities to complete in this topic.
2.1. Share information on safe work practices and work procedures with members of the work group
2.2. Check the OHS practices of less experienced members of the workgroup
2.3. Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced members of the workgroup to support them in working safely
2.4. Support members of the workgroup to accurately record incidents and complete associated workplace documentation
